Crimes of Passion evolved from the industrial heartland of Sheffield England. Over the last 5 years they have developed into a world class melodic metal band.
Their second album To Die For is released in Japan on August 24th via Marquee Avalon, and in the UK, Europe and US on via The Global Music Group.
The debut single Blown Away will be available to coincide with this release, the video having just been filmed in August.
The album was produced and recorded by Charlie Bauerfeind, (Helloween, Blind Guardian, Hammerfall, Motorhead) during the winter of 2010/11 at Blind Guardians Twilight Hall studios Germany, Orion studios England, and completed at Helloweens Tenerife studio.
There are guest vocal performances on the album from Biff Byford of Saxon and Andi Deris of Helloween. Biff also edited the single.
Biff liked the band so much that he invited them to tour mainland Europe in May/June 2011 for 5 weeks as the main support to Saxon. On this tour, COP also appeared at the Metalfest festivals in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Germany and Austria alongside the likes of Arch Enemy, Accept, Cradle of Filth and Amon Amarth.
In October 2011, COP head out into the UK and Europe with Mike Tramp the vocalist of the 80s legends White Lion, which is followed by 4 more weeks in Europe and Scandinavia with Saxon and Anvil.
Festival performances have already been confirmed for Wacken Openair and Metalcamp 2012.
This band are certainly on the ones to watch list for 2012
