Biographie
Mercy Drive originates from the band Big Mother Thruster, founded by Corey Lane and Josh Lyons. Four of their tunes were aired during MTV's Tough Enough television show; wrestler Maven used "Tattoo" as an entrance theme for the entirety of his time in WWE (2001–2005). The band was signed to Maverick Records and recorded a full length album. The album was never released. After parting ways with Josh Lyons, and Mark James the band reorganized and changed the name to 'Mercy Drive'. Jimmy McGlothlin (vocals), Jake Beard (guitar), and Corey Lane (drums) recorded at Tree Studios in Atlanta with producer Ric Beato. Stan Martell (bass guitar) was added to the lineup. In 2004, their song, "Away", was used for a tribute video which WWE wrestler Randy Orton had dedicated to himself, and a new song, "Burn in My Light," was written for Orton to use as an entrance theme, which he used from 2004 to 2008
