Vic Anselmo

Vic Anselmo is a Latvian singer and songwriter. Her stunning voice and eclectic musical style have made Vic Anselmo a notable alternative artist. Her sensual songs reflect the dynamics of her emotions. Vic is an impressive performer and a charismatic presence on stage. She is the first Latvian alternative female singer that became known outside the Baltic States. Her debut album “Trapped In A Dream” (2008) was chosen as "Newcomer of the Month" in Orkus! Magazine. Vic’s second album “In My Fragile…“ (2011) brought her even more recognition and received an enthusiastic response by fans and music critics alike. In 2011 Vic Anselmo went on a her first big European tour, supporting German avant-garde duo Deine Lakaien on all 24 shows during their Indicator Tour. That same year Vic also performed on stage with Das Ich at Wave-Gotik-Treffen and Amphi Festival. In 2012 Vic recorded vocals for Antimatter´s “Fear Of Unique Identity“ and subsequently joined the band during their European tour. In recent years Vic Anselmo has played many headline shows in Europe, both solo and with her band. Highlights include a China tour in 2011, and performances at festivals such as Dark Mills 2010 in London (UK), Summer Darkness Festival 2013 (NL), Castle Party 2013 (PL), Castle Fest 2014 (NL) and a mesmerizing solo set at Amphi Festival 2014 (DE) . Vic Anselmo has appeared as a guest vocalist on the song “Adoration” by ION, Duncan Patterson’s project and she also recorded vocals for Inner Fear, a project by Cradle of Filth-drummer Martin Marthus Škaroupka. In 2013 Vic started working on her third album, slated for an early 2015 release. The songs on her new album will talk about water as a symbol of transformation, adaptation, power and clarity. The album will be dedicated to her late father, a Latvian seaman.
