Leviathan (Ger)

Leviathan is a five piece band from Bonn, Germany. The musical base of Leviathan is Death Metal and Melodic Death Metal, but by incorporating progressive influences and classical, orchestral parts in their music, the band creates their own unique sound. Formed in late 2007, the current lineup was finally completed when Keyboarder Fabian Gocht joined the band at the end of 2008. In 2009 Leviathan started to perform live on a regular base, in March 2010 the first EP called “From The Desolate Inside” was recorded and released two month later. In August 2010 the band reached the final of the New Blood Award and therefore played live on Summer Breeze Open Air 2010. In September 2010 the debut EP "From The Desolate Inside" also was voted "Demo of the month" in the german Metal Hammer Magazine. After a small Tour in winter 2010/11, Leviathan made it's next step by signing a rcord deal with BretHard Records and Twilight Distribution in March 2011. The first cooperation will be the worldwide release of Leviathan's debut album „Beyond the Gates Of Imagination“ on September, 16th 2011.
