Down Yesterday

Down Yesterday is a Progressive-Alternative rock band from Midland TX, and is comprised of Lance, Selso, Ray, Art, and Sammy. The group was formed in October of 2008, and has since recorded their first E.P, at Dallas area studio Indian Trail Recordings with 4 time Producer Of The Year Alex Gerst (Faktion, South FM, Fair to Midland, Seasons After), and have since built up a very solid and die hard fan base known as The DY Militia. The sound is heavy yet intricate at the same time, with a balance of catchy hooks, and “stuck in your head” song style. With their solid live show, catchy songs, and their ever present love for the music, a very big buzz is reverberating from around the band. The guys have shared the stage with some of the best in Texas Rock like LSPS, Crimson Envy, Sounds Under Radio, Mothers Anthem, and joined a leg of The Bailout Tour with The Sammus Theory. The group released their first single “Stay” in March 2009, and the song peaked at 34 in the popular vote of almost 15,000 songs on the MySpace Battle of the Bands. The Song has also been played in rotation on the New York radio station 100.5 The Drive. The groups’ second single “3 AM” has been since released and is being played in rotation on the internet radio station Native Noise, and at Carlsbad, NM radio station Coyote 107, with Curtis on the Metal Shop. Down Yesterday joined back up with Gerst and has recorded their first FULL length album which is set to release around June 2010. Since their formation, DY has also picked up endorsement by Dirtbag Clothing and is on sale through iTunes, Amazon.com, Napster, and CD Baby.
