This Is Our Year

Debuting in the Spring of 2011 with the band’s self-titled EP, This Is Our Year has quickly become one of the most prominent bands in the Chicago scene. Playing alongside such national acts as Memphis May Fire, I See Stars, Stick to Your Guns, Our Last Night, and more, This Is Our Year has built a strong and reliable fan base throughout the Chicago-land area. In the Summer of 2012, This Is Our Year went to producer Matt Dalton who has worked with artists such as I See Stars, Craig Owens, and These Hearts to record the bands full-length album titled “Life as We Know It”. Shortly after, This Is Our Year signed to new Chicago based indie label Stayposi Records and released the album in April of 2013. In preparation for the band’s full-length release, This Is Our Year released the first single off of the upcoming album titled “Identities” which debuted as a lyric video on the band’s YouTube account. With a strong message about the process of growing up and finding out who you truly are, people of all ages have found a connection with the lyrics of “Identities”. Currently This Is Our Year is focusing on playing shows around the midwest to gain momentum with their album release. They plan on touring this summer as well.Bio
